Christmas words

These days are full of good wishes and a lot of words. It is a good time of year to visit family and friends. It is also a good time to stop the clock and let our heart enjoy all the emotions this festival offers us. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Love

Failure

My idea of failure is: not having a dream come true.
The exercise I enjoyed most was the one about Remixing because I noticed that's what I do in my life.
The outcome of my exercise was original.
The biggest insight I got from doing the exercise was pleasure.
Something that didn't work out for me was having more time to be more creative.
The course was really good for me as I have always considered myself as a creative person. So I'm including this picture of a bird as a symbol of how I feel : free to create beautiful things.

Remix

This week I'm remixing part of one of my favourite songs by Coldplay, 'A sky full of stars'.

I didn't really take the lines out of a box, I just wrote numbers next to them without thinking what I was doing and the result makes sense!! 

Remix is always the beggining, then you start creating your own version and you enjoy doing it as well as you do creating something different.

a list

I'm doing a course on canvas.net about creativity and I'm doing a list about all the things I would do this week if I didn't have to work.
1. I would go for a walk in a forest full of trees and meditate.
2. I would draw for hours.
3. I would meet up a friend and chat.
4. I would visit my parents.
5. I would listen to music for more than thirty minutes.
6. I would cook something healthy without thinking of the time I need to prepare it.
7. I would have a siesta everyday.
8. I would sit on a park bench and look at people.
9. I would write a poem.
10. I would read and read.

New project

Hi there! 
Long time no see! It's been a while since I didn't post anything but here I am again.
I'm working on this new project. I saw it on Internet and I liked it a lot. It will be a brunch and different colourful houses hunging on it.
This is a picture of the first house I made today. As I don't have a sewing machine, I sew it by hand, so I was sewing for two hours!! It doesn't bother me because I have time and I really enjoyed myself doing it.

SUMMER

Summer is one of the best seasons of year for sunsets. The colors are yellow, orange, pink and when the sun starts to go down, everything seems to be burning. 

It's also curious how crops have been planted after the recesion here in Spain. We are going back to past, and I like the idea of going back to Nature.

It was my birthday last May and my husband bought me felt and fabric, and anything you need to sew.
On the picture you can see one of the first things I made: a cushion.
I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it!

Spring is here once again!

Happy Easter!

After a long term preparing activities for children, adults, etc; now I have time for myself, for doing all the things I like doing in my free time: drawing, surfing new blogs on Internet, getting ideas from Pinterest; etc, etc.

Love is all we need

This is a kind of reminding picture for everyone who is having bad times right now; here in Spain things are going bad for those who lost their houses because of the crisis, and those who can't find a job. For all of them and you, even if your life is great: LOVE IS ALL WE NEED, AND ALL WE HAVE; SHARE YOUR LOVE WITH EVERYONE NO MATTER RACES OR COLOUR, NO MATTER THEIR IDEAS AND YOURS, JUST LOVE PEOPLE, WE ALL BELONG TOGETHER.

After all the mild winter we are having, almond trees are blossoming; the flowers are pretty and aromatic.We don't know if winter is finishing but what we know is spring is just round the corner and I feel happy for that. I was born in May, and that's the season I like best. Flowers, new life and trees around us are full of birds singing and flying over our heads.

Curiosity

The three Kings

In Spain we celebrate that the three KIngs ( or the three Wise Men) gave presents to Jesus when he was born by giving presents to children. Also at night we gather with family or friends and have hot chocolate with a pastry full of small gifts.

Christmas time

Christmas is the best time of the year: you see people you haven't seen for long, you are with your family, you have time to have a good conversation, you stop and see life; when I have time I feel better with myself and with the rest of the world.

This year we decided to have a Nativity Scene made of paper and a Christmas tree made of an old book; this year we think of all the people who don't have the necessary things to be happy. Everyone should have at least the opportunity of feeling happiness once.

Long time no see!

November and December are two stressfull months for me: marks, reports, things to prepare for Christmas, parents' meeting, etc.

Being a teacher is one of the most incredible adventures you can live but you normally work out of schedule, and sometimes you don't have time to draw or write on your blog.

WELCOME AUTUMN!!

Definitely it's autumn in this part of Spain, after a very hot summer!!

I like the smell of rain and the wind in my face; they make me feel alive.

FREE DAY = FRIDAY

We are having a free day here in Spain, it's a festival. I normally take advantage of these days to do what I like best: being with my husband and drawing!!!

Sometimes we don't have a reason to be happy, but we are wrong.

Happynes is inside us and we only have to feel it.

Meditation is the way to find it in our hearts, just leave yourself be one with the universe.

This week I started my work as a teacher and I must say I was born for that; of course I have my moments but this is what I want to be.

I like this singer very much. He has such a wonderful voice. The title goes with the weather we are having this weekend in this part of Spain after a very hot summer. Autumn is coming and I'm happy for that!

I haven't been at the beach yet. I know that summer is almost finishing (not in this part of Spain with all this heat); but with this drawing I imagine everyone relaxing with the waves movement and the sea sound, what a pleasure for the senses!!

Couples

Sometimes I draw things from my imagination, and I don't even know how I can do it.

This time I have drawn 4 couples:

- The stereo couple 
- The watermelon couple
- The cookie one
- And the stick one

They could be part of a comic, aren't they?
Anyway, drawing is fun!

Sometimes drawings like this flow and although they look simple, they are a kind of meditation for me. Once I start, I can't stop and my mind is blank, empty. Drawing is a good medicine for the soul.

I'm part of Nature, and you?

A fusion with Mother Nature. 
Nature is our friend,and we should treat it well. No fire, no damage at trees and animals. They are part of us and we need them. Don't forget it please!

HOPPER

Last week this time we were almost arriving Madrid. We wanted to visit different exhibitions and in the evening we visited the one by Hopper. It was great! All the colours and his vision of USA. I really enjoyed it!

Our brain is a mistery, full of connections, responsible of our emotions and feelings. One of the things that make me wonder is our imagination; the ability of imagining things, people we don't know and, of course, drawings.

CATS

Spring

Spring arrived some time ago and I made this drawing to celebrate it. It's my favourite season of year.

The love tree

In the area where I live this tree is called "The Love Tree"(Cercis siliquastrum; it's also known as Judas' tree). Every spring most of the streets in towns and cities start showing their flowers making a more pleasant view for our eyes.

Almond flowers

They have been with us since the end of January but in this part of the globe, a Siberian wind blowed when February started and now we can say, almond flowers are feeling relieved after the cold, welcome back!
